Melissa and Bill were married last year in Chattanooga.  When they decided they wanted some more fun pictures than what they were able to get on their wedding day, we were excited to be able to shoot this session for them!  We met with Melissa and Bill shortly before their session to figure out exactly what we wanted to do and what we needed for the shoot.  Melissa decided that a red dress we had laying around and fit her perfectly, would be awesome in addition to her wedding dress.  Working from there, we put a vintage spin on the clothing, picked up the few things needed for their session, and set our schedule.

Having decided on a retro-style shoot, the Delta Queen Hotel made the perfect setting for something different!  This turn of the century river boat, docked on the river, has been turned into a cool hotel (they do wedding/reception packages, so if interested, contact Sarah Stewart at the Delta Queen for more info), and after getting permission to do our shoot there, we were ready to go!  Since Melissa was going to switch between the red dress and the wedding dress, the hotel graciously provided us a stateroom where they could change and keep our extras.  We started out in the upstairs bar, made our way around deck, and then back to the grand staircase.  Melissa then changed to her white wedding dress, so off we went to a quiet area for some great shots and then back to the grand staircase to finish up.  We had a great time on the boat, and the couple of hours seemed to fly by!

We then headed over to the carousel at Coolidge Park for a few fun shots and then finished up at the fountains outside.  The fountain was great while the geysers were low, but all of a sudden, they shot up and soaked our happy couple, so we kind of made this our finishing shots.  We had a great day with Melissa and Bill and they have been loving these shots from their session!

We hope you like these pictures, and if you are thinking you might like to do your own “Day After” session, we hope this gives you some ideas of the endless possibilities for your own shoot!  Please contact us for more info if you are interested in scheduling a session!

We recently met Cynthia & Matt about their upcoming October wedding, and knew from the first few minutes that they were a special couple!  This past weekend, we photographed their Love Story engagement session, and you can just feel and see the love they have for one another in their looks and actions.

We started out the afternoon at Kennesaw Mountain for a few warm up shots, and it did not take these two long to get into the swing of things!  We quickly found out just how much fun these two really are to be around!  After wandering the main park for a little while, we headed for a more secluded spot on the other side of the Mountain before heading into Marietta to finish out their session with some early evening shots around the square. We hope you enjoy this short preview, as there are literally “hundreds” of great shots from this session!

Cynthia and Matt, we hope this will hold you over until the next batch.  We cant wait for your intimate wedding in October, we know its going to be an awesome day!

Alpa & Himanshu are getting married in India this winter and we covered their engagement party this spring.  We had scheduled their engagement session back in May when Himanshu was last in town, but we were rained out.  With rain threatening yet again, we decided to go ahead and start the session and shoot as much as we could and see how the weather developed.  We met up at a local park in downtown Atlanta and got their session underway.  The park with pond, benches, and bridge was a great setting for this couple, and we enjoyed hanging out with them here.  It was not long though, and the rain started moving in.  So out with the umbrella for some romantic shots, and then off to the parking deck for yet some more fun shots.  As the weather began to settle in, we decided to grab a quick snack and go get some shots at the old English telephone booth we had wanted to shoot now for some time.  Alpa and Himanshu were game, and we got some great shots dodging the rain drops.  With the rain looking like it was here to stay, we decided to reschedule the remainder of their session next time Himanshu returns from New York.

Alpa and Himanshu, we look forward to seeing you again and hopefully get to finish out your session in nice weather!  We hope you enjoy this short preview!

Enjoy!

We had an amazing afternoon despite the heat and a brief rain shower with Tai and Mike who are getting married in September.  We met up with them at the Houston Mill House on the Emory University Campus and then ended up in Little 5 Points where we found some amazing graffiti walls to play with.   Tai & Mike are so much fun and we really enjoyed our day with them.  We just had to share a few images from the session…

more (LOTS more) will follow soon, we promise!
