Sometimes you just get the feeling that things were meant to be, and thats just the feeling we get about Alpa and Himanshu!  This couple is so much fun, we had a blast capturing their formal engagement party a few weeks ago!  We first met Alpa and her mom at Arti and Nishal’s wedding, when they asked if we could photograph Alpa’s engagement.  Alpa is finishing up college here while Himanshu is finishing his course work in New York, and they will be married in India at the end of the year.  This was a special weekend as we know they had not seen each other for a while.  We were supposed to shoot their engagement session as well, but the weather was not cooperating, so we had to reschedule for Himanshu’s next visit to Atlanta this summer.

We started out the day capturing some shots of Alpa and the girls getting ready for the party, then made the drive from Athens to Norcross for the big celebration.  After all the guests had arrived, Alpa and Himanshu were welcomed by a packed hall of family and friends.  The evening started out with speeches and dances by various family members, and then progressed through the ring ceremony, cake, and first dances.  After dinner, family and guests hit the dance floor and even had time for a birthday celebration along the way!
