With Valentine’s Day just around the corner it was the perfect time to do a retro inspired session featuring Shay and her red polka dot dress and shoes (too bad they were not a size 10 or they would have just had to stay here so I could wear them).  As we were finishing up we were joking about doing another session so we could finally add a bubble bath shot to the portfolio… before we knew it we were setting up the candles and bubbles…. and capturing a beautiful giggling Shay in the tub.

Here are a few of my favorites (so far) from the session.  Shay we definitely have to do a calendar, it would be such fun!  Enjoy…

Does this look like fun? Want to gift your sweetie with images like these? There are still a few sessions available in time for Valentine Gifts. Call the studio at 678-719-0057 for more details!

Amy’s Dad and Step-Mom were in town visiting over the long weekend, so we met up for a quick session to capture the kids with their grandparents.  It was a pleasure meeting Mike & Lorraine and getting to spend some time with some of my favorite kids.  We went hiking some trails in the woods, had fun jumping the creek, getting our shoes DIRTY and just hanging out in the gazebo watching the kids be kids.  Here are a “few” of my favorites from the session.  Enjoy!  ~ Cat ~

Our friends Steve & Sheila welcomed baby Nicholas on December 26th and we could not be happier for them!  I had the pleasure of visiting with them a few weeks ago when Sheila’s mom was visiting so I could capture him at 4 days old.  I know they are having fun getting used to having a baby boy in the house after 3 girls!

I have known the family for quite a while now and was able to document big sister Isabella’s first year.  If you have been in my office you have probably seen a picture of Isabella at 4 days old in Daddy’s hands as it’s one of my favorites and they used it at her dedication.  I am excited that I now have a similar picture of Nicholas and can’t wait to share it!

So… here are some of my favorites! Steve & Sheila, I hope you enjoy these and your gallery will be up very soon.

I had lots of fun photographing the family and can’t wait to see him again.

Melissa and Bill were married last year in Chattanooga.  When they decided they wanted some more fun pictures than what they were able to get on their wedding day, we were excited to be able to shoot this session for them!  We met with Melissa and Bill shortly before their session to figure out exactly what we wanted to do and what we needed for the shoot.  Melissa decided that a red dress we had laying around and fit her perfectly, would be awesome in addition to her wedding dress.  Working from there, we put a vintage spin on the clothing, picked up the few things needed for their session, and set our schedule.

Having decided on a retro-style shoot, the Delta Queen Hotel made the perfect setting for something different!  This turn of the century river boat, docked on the river, has been turned into a cool hotel (they do wedding/reception packages, so if interested, contact Sarah Stewart at the Delta Queen for more info), and after getting permission to do our shoot there, we were ready to go!  Since Melissa was going to switch between the red dress and the wedding dress, the hotel graciously provided us a stateroom where they could change and keep our extras.  We started out in the upstairs bar, made our way around deck, and then back to the grand staircase.  Melissa then changed to her white wedding dress, so off we went to a quiet area for some great shots and then back to the grand staircase to finish up.  We had a great time on the boat, and the couple of hours seemed to fly by!

We then headed over to the carousel at Coolidge Park for a few fun shots and then finished up at the fountains outside.  The fountain was great while the geysers were low, but all of a sudden, they shot up and soaked our happy couple, so we kind of made this our finishing shots.  We had a great day with Melissa and Bill and they have been loving these shots from their session!

We hope you like these pictures, and if you are thinking you might like to do your own “Day After” session, we hope this gives you some ideas of the endless possibilities for your own shoot!  Please contact us for more info if you are interested in scheduling a session!
